Gaining Insight Into the Business and the Workplace Through Job Shadowing and Participation in DREAMDAZE IV

Tokyo, Japan, July 14, 2026—MIXI, Inc. welcomed four first-year students (the fourth cohort of MIXI scholarship recipients) from Kamiyama Marugoto College of Design, Engineering and Entrepreneurship (“Kamiyama Educational Institute”) to its headquarters on July 10, 2026, to take part in its job shadowing program. Additionally, on the following day, July 11, the company provided an opportunity for a total of eight students, including four second-year students (the third cohort of MIXI scholarship recipients), to attend DREAMDAZE IV, the company’s annual summer event, held at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO.

In September 2022, MIXI made the Kamiyama Educational Institute a Scholarship Partner, endorsing its educational philosophy and its scholarship fund initiative aimed at making tuition virtually free. Four students from each year are selected as MIXI Scholarship Students. Through interactive exchanges such as lectures and mentoring by employees, joint research, and participation in company-hosted events, MIXI is committed to nurturing the next generation of talent. This visit was conducted as part of these efforts.

Shadowing Director and Senior Corporate Officer Tatsuma Murase

On July 10, the program kicked off with a session led by the PR team. They explained PR operations, fact-checking procedures, and how to organize information when drafting news releases for the corporate website. With the creation of this article in mind, the students organized what they needed to observe and record during their shadowing experience.

Following that, the students shadowed Tatsuma Murase, a director and senior corporate officer of MIXI, attending one-on-one meetings with the CTO and CISO, meetings with external partners, and discussions with the HR department. Through these one-on-one meetings with various employees and a tour of the office, they saw firsthand how employees with different areas of expertise—including technology, information security, HR, internal IT, and office environment management—collaborate to support the business and organization.

At the end of the program, the students participated in a wrap-up session to review their observations, organizing the facts they had gathered and their personal insights.

Attending DREAMDAZE IV

On July 11, the second-year MIXI scholarship students joined the group to attend DREAMDAZE IV held at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO.

“DREAMDAZE” is an offline arena event where all seats are reserved, and attendees can fully immerse themselves in the worlds of various games through stage performances and diverse production elements.

The students observed audience reactions, venue traffic flow, stage production, and the operations of the event staff, deepening their understanding of how the company’s services and content actually reach users.
